Well, I am poorly today, bad throat and dizzy, so I am propped up in bed with the laptop :(

    I have:
    • Checked banking - all ok and payment from mystery shopping in :T
    • Done PB comps - no CT today
    • Taken cheap hayfever and ibuprofen tablets, see moneysaving on my death bed :rotfl:
    • Resisted buying rechargeable batteries last week as I knew I had a packet somewhere (bargain £1.25 ones last year) and found them - phone is now happy, so is my purse :T
    And I will:
    • Buy cheap cat food from Asda (from pet budget)
    • Try walking to school, rather than drive, failing that will make OH walk lol
    • Check for mystery shops

Whilst I was in Asda I bought a few items that I knew were cheaper there than Aldi. I then stopped by Aldi to pick up some bits. Total spend in Aldi today: £20.68 and I have everything in that we need and have £18.40 left to buy essentials (inc crisps on sunday to last the school week, milk and bread, poss fruit top up).

Didnt manage to walk to school, had to drive in the end :o but on the plus side I am feeling much better, which my Aldi wine is helping with :o:o:o

    Aldi challenge total: £20.68
    Asda for extras: £8.49

£29.17 and I have put some change in my sealed pot.

    Today I have...

    ~ checked internet banking
~ done piggyclicks and lightspeed survey checks (none!)
~ picked up some bargains in M&S foodhall after work (have only just twigged that 5.30pm on a Friday is the time to shop in a store which doesn't open at the weekends - most of what I bought has Sunday's date on it, but they had to get rid of it this evening...) :j
~ helped out at my Weightwatchers meeting, so got weighed for free and also got given a free box of blue berry bars (normal price £2.05) ;)
~ bought my Dad some aftershave for Father's Day using Boots points :D

Well done on the job, cassey!! :T

Well done on your job, glad your a bit more settled and that extra money will no doubt come in handy, time to celebrate now.:T:T

    Glad your feeling better Cleosmum.

Also, to all those people doing the don't throw food away challenge, i have just been watching Tonight where Johnny has been eating food that was out of date sometimes by a few weeks, even more of an incentive not to waste food.

Cleosmum, have you thought about doing that one, especially as you are doing your food challenge?

I said to OH this morning that we need to check everything each morning and decide what meals need to come first with regard to dates. I have a great student grub book, my 25p fete bargain 2007 lol, and whatever is going off is usually covered in one recipe or another. Must remember each day to check though :o

Ohh todays Aldi discovery is that lean minced beef is cheaper than tesco and asda, even with their 2 for £4 offer :T
