When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Anyway today i have/will
Had a little rain here this morning but seems to be clearing up now.
Good luck for the interview cassey:D Hi to everyone else:hello: :hello: :hello: hope you all have a good day, roll on the weekend:j :j :j .

Wow, quiet day today gang! Cleosmum, hope you feel better soon. Claireabelle, glad you've got your tan, all ready for tomorrow! Cassey, hope your interview went well.
I've had a pain of a day, the teacher i work with kept me back half an hour looking for needles in a resources room, literally finding a needle in a hay stack, so i missed my bus home. When i get home i try to do a mystery shop telephone call only to find out that the times within which they want me to 'catch' the train don't fit in with what train times are available. They give you a number to call, only for you to have to leave a message, and there was me thinking it was easy £7, spent half an hour on it already!
Putting that aside, its the weekend so time to let loose:rotfl:
-I have tried to do a mystery shop phone call:D
-I have accepted two more mystery shops and includes bottles of wine:beer:
-Off to do some surveys in a mo
-Will place some matched bets
-Check online banking
-Revise for exam next week
-Do some washing on 30
-Fill in job applications
-Continue looking for jobs to apply for
-Foreign student is out for tea so one less person to cook for (saves us money!)
-Lunch and tea both from storecupboard
-Will sort out emails
-Go through bags of paper work and junk that i keep promising i will do:o
-Continue working on leaflets for business
-Use business advice from website
-Try and work on setting up website
-Try and sort out financial papers
-Go through all post down stairs that has piled up
-Go on ebay for things to buy for business
-Work on business plan
-Used special bus pass to get to work
-Cancelled driving lesson, saving me £21
-Will keep looking for more mystery shops
-Also do boring cleaning jobs
I will also make time for a large glass of wine or lager seeing as i am doing the waste no food challenge and the lager is included in that seeing as i have loads of it in the house!
Have a great weekend everyone, two days of freedom!:j:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

wow andan, sounds like a busy day!!
Painted Lady is it your birthday today or is this a belated thing?
I've had a bit of a treat day today - caught tube to work, ate lunch at work and bought a drink to go with it, and just poured a glass of red wine (finished a bottle that had been open for a while so didn't want it to go to waste - thanks for the reminder andan)
DFW wise I have
- nothing to go on the spreadsheet as spent today (my lunch comes out of my money, not 'our' money)
- resisted the urge to go to the pub after work on a friday
- resisted going to the sushi shop with others at lunch where i usually spend £8 on a tray of various sushi (it's good but ouch at the price!)
- OH has done a huge stir-fry using a lot of vegetables from the fridge that needed to be used, with enough to feed a flatmate and enough for lunch tomorrow
- OH also did a massive pot of spagetti bolognaise to put in the freezer which on taste testing is pretty good
- gone through surveys but none to do
- will try and get through some more competitions tonight!
Hmm, think that's about it, the wine is tasting pretty good so will try to resist opening another bottle!
Hope everyone is enjoying their Friday
