Yes I know I'm too fussy. But I'm trying to introduce more fish into my diet...I quite like fish but I'm easily put off if I start finding bones.
I've just had a thin slice of trout tonight, it tasted lovely but was full of tiny bones, which were probablly edible but not for me!
I've tried the usual salmon, cod, haddock and coley. I've had monkfish, wasn't too keen on that.
So i want to know if there are ones that are less boney than others......and I'm sorry if it's a stupid question but I'm really clueless when it comes to fish:o
I am aware that they are all boney to start with before the fishmonger does his job!

Swordfish & Tuna are both meaty fish. They are quite expensive though, and not sure you'll be too keen if you don't like monkfish or salmon. Might be worth a try?0

Tin of tuna, fish fingers???
No, seriously. You can take the large bones out of fish but nearly all fish will have tiny bones in them that you just have to learn to pick out I'm afraid. My husband is the same as you, he loves fish but sits there for ages picking all the tiniest of bones out before he eats it.0 -
Rock. Also called Huss and Rock Salmon. A firm white fish a bit like Cod but with one big bone down the middle. Skate is lovely no bones just cartilige and you scrape the flesh off.... sole is nice filleted should be no bones left...0

I would have said sole, one big back bone, take that out & your sorted, no fiddly bits.
Lemon sole is cheaper.0 -
it's not the sort of cartilige like salmon where you crunch it, it's like a blade think of a flexible spatula the skate "wing" is like that and the flesh clings to it. You pull the flesh off with your fork. it's hard to describe, but skate cooked in a little butter with some capers to finish off is lovely. They call it "fishermans friend" I shan't tell you why.0

What about cod's cheeks... really good fish meat with no risk of bones.TOP MONEYSAVING TIP
Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!0 -
