Seriously stressed and upset, please help!

It definitely looks like the only way to go is to pay the debt, get it as marked "satisfied" on my file and add a note that I paid it as soon as i was aware of it.

Oh well, we live and learn.

Sorry, but I would ask them for copy of documents confirming this debt.
We had a problem with NTL/Virgin after we moved house,first we notified them that we moved ,they cut off our services but they didn't install in time phone and internet(after 3 requests) in new house so long story short we finished with them. But after 3-4 months in a new house we start to receive telephone, internet and TV bills from them on our old address(redirected) It took 3 more months and a lot of calls to sort this out (cancel it and get a written confirmation from them), and they threaten us with debt collect agency etc!!! so my point is investigate before you pay!

I have investigated, and unfortunately it was my stupidity that lead to this.

Singlepoint (now vodafone) have gone through the old account with me, and it was my own fault.

I would of paid before the court hearing and the CCJ was issued, but i failed to tell them i was moving.

I have paid the debt collectors, but only the amount issued by the court summons.

I will now wait for my file to be updated and then i will add a note.
