Thank you for that letter.
Does it matter that they havent contacted me? That i got their details from the Court which then passed me all their info, so i contacted them to see what it was?

If it helps at all, Singlepoint was part of the Caudwell group so if you want to chase anything up and Vodafone aren't forthcoming, they're the ones to hassle - i mean - politely pester.Debt free in 2010

Hi Amy, no words of advice on this one, but have always seen your posts around and so wanted to send you my thoughts. I think your doing really well and at least you are trying to chase everything up and get it all sorted. Glad to hear your feeling a bit better and i hope the situation is sorted out soon for you. Dont let it get you down and keep plodding away as usual.:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

Hi Amy,
Sorry to hear your bad news. Don't let this glitch get you down. How much was the CCJ for? Can you pay it off and get it settled?

Hi Sammy
I can pay it off, however it will still be on my credit file for the next 2 years. Which a problem.
And i have been advised by the court not to pay it...
Still very confused... but im sure it will look better tomorrow!

If someone has registered a CCJ against you in error, than you need to contact them in an attempt to have it removed.Thank you for that letter.

If you are 1000% certain this CCJ has been registered in error against you, then you can apply to have it "Set aside" by the court until it's resolved, if you are successful with your appeal against those that registed it, claim the fee back from them, also claim back a fee for anytime you have dedicated in trying to resolve it, say £10.00 per hour.Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.

Hi
Well i trawled through all of the old letters last night and found that I had an account with Singlepoint from 2002/2003, however I didnt get any letters regarding a debt.
I definitely havent got any letters from any debt collection agencies regarding this either.
I moved out of the property January 2004, and the court papers etc. were issued 14 February 2004 and the CCJ issued 31st March 2004.
I have spoken to National Debt Line and they said I do not have enough evidence to back up the appeal for the CCJ to be set aside, as although I didnt receive the information before the CCJ was issued, the DCA were within their rights to send it to the old address as I have no way of prooving I told them/they had my new address.
Basically I think my best bet is to pay up and move on from it?
And hope that the housing association will allow me to get a mortgage even if i do have a CCJ.
