I've gone without so much in the last year and i think i'd like to continue that way.

That statement says it all..if you hav'nt got it you cant spend it, think thats how i initally got into my mess. Spending on CC thinking what the hell i can pay min payments etc on stuoid things that i had the cash for in my wallet.

its all to easy as we all know just to whip out the plastic and swipe it, but a bit different with cash.

I think keep being strong BLTN and you'll be fine, otherwise come here and post and we'll shoot you down for considering more debt!! lmao:p :rotfl:

Emotional minefield, BLTN! Well done on the savings account, but eeuw, credit cards? It's only as I've begun to consider bankruptcy (June 27, not that I'm counting the days or anything) that I've realised just how many transactions are done by card. The other day I was at a hotel and offered my debit card to be swiped for extras and the receptionist asked for a credit card instead. Hmm... But put this in context: 4 weeks ago, before I cancelled the direct debits on all the debt I could no longer afford to service, let alone repay, my credit rating was "excellent". But it wasn't, really, was it? At least, not for me.
