Cheapest baby milk hunt!

Options
Right the challenge is on. I am trying to find the cheapest (maybe bogof offer even) on follow on baby milk so i can stock up as it is so expensive as they go through it so quick! In particular i am after hipp follow on milk so if anyone knows of any offers or cheapest place to get it i would be very grateful. Thank you.

if it's follow on milk for babies over 6 months, buy at boots and get loads of points, esp during triple points, spend 25 on baby promotions etc. they used to do offers on sma follow on at 2 for 10 pounds. never bought hipp, so don't know.

however, have you joined the hipp club...send you loads of money off vouchers.

don't forget eventually to switch to cow's milk..........we nearly did. so used to buying the stuff. think there's still some in the cupboard
  • Not sure where you live, so this might not be any help.

Our local health centre sell baby formula for £4.70, which is a big reduction from £6.97 at Tesco.

Give your health centre a call and ask if they do the same.

My local health centre were still selling it, but the prices have gone up to equivalent to what the shops charge, eg £6for C&G.
I work in a supermarket anyway, so it works out cheaper to get it with my staff discount anyway. Oh and ASDA online will let you use baby formula when qualifying for an evoucher. (Means I get 2 for 2 quid when I do my fortnightly shop online, spend £50, use an evoucher for a tenner off :T :T )

SMA progress in sainsburys and superdrug is 2 for £9 at the mo, i bought six yesterday. Boots have a offer on baby milk, it started on wednesday. I am sure Cow and gate and Hipp were both included, but I cant rem as it isnt the brand I buy.

My daughter is 11 months and I was going to put her on cows milk when she was 12 months but thought id make it last longer seeing as the offer is on. Its definately pricey but its the best way to make sure they get all their vitamins (espicially when they have off days on their food!!)

When I had my first daughter 11 years ago Boots formula milk was always the cheapest. I havn't had to look at it recently (phew!) so I don't know if that's still the case. You could put points on your Advantage card too from it.

My second daughter stopped breastfeeding on her own when she was 6 months old. She just wouldnt feed anymore and my milk dried up. I put her on formula milk and tried every one but she either wouldnt drink it or it wouldnt stay down. So in the end out of desperation I tried her on gold top full fat ordinary milk and she drank it all and kept it all down. The health visitor had a fit and ordered me to keep trying the formula milk. So I told her I had put her on formula milk but still kept on with the ordinary milk (by the time you get to your 2nd baby you never take any notice of the health visitor anyway). She thrived on it and has never had any effects from it. She is 8 now and is doing fine.

Boots would probably be the cheapest and loads of free points. If you receive Income Support-i think you can receive a tin of powdered milk a week-so free..lol.

Yes, if you're on income support you're entitled to milk coupons which you can exchange for free formula. Boots will not give you advantage points on new baby formula, only on follow on milk which is suitable for 6months plus. I know, I got caught out on this when they were doind the spend £25 on baby stuff and recieve 500 points. In tiny print it says something about not useable against first baby milk or medicines
