I've kept a load of meat paste jars (empty and washed out I have to add) and want to put a few bits and pieces in them with a little rhyme, something along the lines of this one

'An eraser so you can make all your mistakes disappear
A penny so you'll never be completely broke
A soldier to fight all your battles for you
An elastic band to help you stretch beyond your limits
Some string to keep it all together when it seems to be falling apart
A straw so that you'll never have to say 'This is the last straw'

I did find one web site but most of them were variations of this one. I know there are more but can't for the love of me remember where I've seen them.
Anyone recommend a good website ???

Hi I saw these on a local craft fair, she was selling them for £2.50 but they looked lovely in little voile bags. I thought about adding one to a couple of hampers this year :)

I've seen a couple ...........lady on our market sells them in little voile bags.........in fact I gave one to a boy I used to foster the other day in with his birthday box of bits. I must ask him what it said as it was a bit different to the ones I've seen.
I thought I could put the bits and pieces in our meat paste jars, paint the lid and tie a ribbon around it. Be a novelty for the grandchildren..........in fact for a lot of people and so cheap.

Just found this on google somewhere

An eraser to make those little mistakes disappear
A penny so you are never completely broke
A marble for those days when you think you’ve completely lost yours
A rubber band to help you stretch beyond your normal limits
A string to hold it together when it all seems to be falling apart
And chocolate to remind you that life really can be sweet

it was called an anti stress kit!

Love the idea of a little 'survival kit', make sure you post pictures when you're done.

I thought this was a great idea and I want to make them for my girls tokeep all the paraphenalia off the floor when they are in bed, especially the remote control which seems to vanish each morning.

Thanks for posting that link - I have never seen these before but what a fab idea! There is so liitle space in my bedroom that I can't have a bedside table, this will provide somewhere to put all those odds and ends that I always end up tucking under the edge of the bed!
