raimac, love the journal jars and survival kits, you've been beavering away - you must be nearly all finished now?

Angie100 the stockings are great, I like the fabrics you used and the trims at the top set it off beautifully. Are you going to use some as present toppers too?

I hadn't thought of that - good idea, thanx!!! I was going to hang them on the tree. I also made some little homemade Christmas Spice pot pourri organza bags which I think I will hang on the tree. They smell so yummy. I already had some red potpourri that I've been given earlier in the year so mixed it with some cloves, cinnamon, star anise and some dried orange peel. Then added some clove oil, cinnamon oil and alittle apricot oil and shook it up in a big bag - smells lovely and reminds me of Christmas!

Angie that sounds nice, I love the christmas spices. I don't know if you were doing hampers but you could also fill your little stockings with it too and pop one in the bottom of a hamper. Bet it would smell gorgeous when you opened the hamper.

jamtart6 I think they're lovely, fantastic idea. They'll look so good on your packages.:T

I've been slowly starting on my Christmas cards. So far I have sewed 9 robin tree decorations, which I am going to attach to some card with a christmas message. I'll post a picture of them when I finally get around to figuring out what I'm doing with them past making the decorations. Oh well, another 30 to go! I think anyway, I should finalise my Christmas card list so I know how many to make!

I am putting together a recipe folder for my daughters partner and I wondered if any of you nice crafty people could give me some suggestions? My basic idea is to fill a blue stripey arch lever file (already bought) with the plastic insert thingys then pop some recipes in marked out sections. But i'd like to make the folder a bit more personal and interesting-just can't think how.

What a lovely idea! You could put a title on the front of the folder to personalise it e.g. "Jack's Fantastic Cookery Folder". Maybe you could make up names of the recipes using names of people in the family such as "Pam's Famous Macaroni Cheese"; "Ryan's Favourite Roast Potatoes"...

You could add cookery type images to the recipes using clipart or the internet to make the recipes a bit more colourful?

    Good luck :D
