i was in poundland today they have more xmas stock out they had xmas mugs 4 dif ones to choose from and they had little matching spoon to go with them thought they would be good for snowman soup mayb ?
(i really think i need to make few of those xmas bags rainmac if you dont mind me stealing idea:D would do for college day out before xmas :D )

Love the idea of mugs with matching spoons!!! I may have to hold onto that one for next year.

The Xmas bags were easy to do and cost very little (some people on ebay sell them for about £5 per bag ). This site gives ideas for survival kits for lots of occasions... http://www.sawyers-specialties.com/survival-kits/
 If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain

    Hi All!

I've started the cross stitching for my Christmas cards! I'm doing 9 in total and am currently working on a snowman!

Just a heads up for you fellow stitchers, the new issue of Cross Stitcher has a hobbycraft booklet in it with a £3 off a £15 spend. I know there are a couple of other vouchers about but I believe this one has the smallest spend. Could be worth it if you're not quite buying £20 worth. Also if you buy the mag from Tesco you get an exclusive to Tesco free gift of some card thread bobbins!

    Everyones projects sound great!
    Keep Crafting!!

  • Made my Werthers voddie:j ,attempted to make chocolate lime one but choclate won`t dissolve.Guess i`ll have to seive it and melt the chocolate. .
Try putting the bottle in a plastic bag and putting it on a hot wash in your dishwasher, that should help it dissolve.
I f you don't have a dishwasher laying the bottle in very hot(not boiling) water can help.

Boo. I made a batch of test (thank goodness) fudge last night, but it hasn't set. I'm assuming that I didn't boil it for long enough, even though it seemed to do the soft ball test okay.

Anybody have a better explanation please?

    TIA
bit late now,but if this happens return it to the pan and add some chopped chocolate and heat gently until the choc has melted.
It either thickens up or turns into a choc fudge sauce for ice cream.
Did your recipie tell you to beat the fudge? giving it a good work in the pan helps the set and makes for a lighter fudge.

I have fallenin love with this site ,loving the soap cakes

    http://www.ancientwisdom.biz/7/?

i know this is probably aimed more at wholesale ,but if you have a year of crafting ahead of you ,lots of nice organza bags , ribbons an bows amonst lots of other things

Not sure how they compare price wise to other places , but found this site about 2 months ago an forgot all about it , just spent half hour reminding myslef of all the goodies on it

    :T
  • I am putting together a recipe folder for my daughters partner and I wondered if any of you nice crafty people could give me some suggestions? My basic idea is to fill a blue stripey arch lever file (already bought) with the plastic insert thingys then pop some recipes in marked out sections. But i'd like to make the folder a bit more personal and interesting-just can't think how.

Crafty for Christmas? Why, oh why did I start?

I decided to sew some cubes together using different fabrics, textures, colours, etc with letters on each one. The first ten lines were bad enough... but closing up the last square is a nightmare! I was going to do a cube for each letter of my niece's name, but I'm considering doing initials now...

Hope everyone else's crafting projects are going better! :p

raimac, love the journal jars and survival kits, you've been beavering away - you must be nearly all finished now?

Angie100 the stockings are great, I like the fabrics you used and the trims at the top set it off beautifully. Are you going to use some as present toppers too?
