I've said thanks cookiedough but I wish you hadn't shown me that site as I'm several £'s poorer now!!! Did get a few bits in the sale and several stocking fillers nearly done with kids now I think!

    Hi all!
Don't worry Rainmac Eddy won't be about to scare you for a while yet! I've just finished organising the tracing paper so tomorrow I should be able to get him drawn up onto the canvas and ready for painting on Wednesday! I hope!!

Need some gardening gloves............several pairs but need them to be pretty ones............any ideas where I can get any from ? Have to be cheap cos I'm doing cobweb chasers (pole with gardening glove at the end stuffed with wadding) Looked on the Wilkos site but couldn't see any other than the bogstandard ones OH used.

I saw some really cute ones in poundland in pink with flowers on. If you can't find any what about normal gloves with some ribbon and a flower added? I like the idea of these cobweb chasers - What on earth are they :D

pinkladymel - thanks. Cobweb chaser is basically a glove on the end of a short (or longish) pole. Can't find the blessed web site I got it off now but you put a piece of cotton wool or similar inside the tip of the middle finger, wrap some cloth around the end of the pole, add some glue dots or something that will make it hold to the wadding in the middle finger. Then stuff the rest of the fingers with wadding (or old tights, whatever you choose), put elastic band or something tight around the wrist of the glove then finish off with a ribbon.
I think gardening gloves were suggested as they're maybe easier to wipe clean. Wish I could find the website I got it from now.............lol typical........I've looked at that many, thought I'd kept them all but no.......how disorganised is that  Anyway, think you''ll get the idea.

    scattymam - you;re here.............consider yourself certified............and it doesn't even have to be Christmas................:rotfl:

It is more a case of admitting to yourself you have a problem and then embracing it :D It usually ends about December 27th promising yourself you won't go so mad and start so early next year.. wears off about August though..

    HTH? :rotfl:

OMGoodness that was so funny!! I love it :rotfl:

Thank you for telling me about the cobweb gloves.. they sound crazy! Imagine someone seeing you through the window. You could take it with you if you went to see gladiators and use it to point. I hope you find some pretty gloves soon :A

  • Hi all!

I've got a question for those who have used/will use the Ikea blankets to make no sew blankets.
I brought some blankets from Primark to make some no sew blankets and my other half has got me thinking. He asked if I was cutting off the overlocking on the blankets then cut the strips. I've got no idea now whether to do this and just wondered if anyone else had overlocking on their balnkets and if they knew what to do with it.
