  • I'd complain to head office, like others have said. That's very bad on their part!

I would go in and pay the fine (to avoid it going to debt collectors), then inform them that you shall be taking action against their slack data protection, as it is against their policy and the data protection act to let someone else use your account.

You shouldn't pay - what are the debt collectors going to do? It's going to be much harder to get the money back once you've given it out.

Sounds like a data protection breach by Blockbusters, I'd take it further too.

Also says just as much about the OP's sister than it does about Blockbusters too. If the Op's sister hadnr been dishonest then this would not have happened in the first place.

the sister needs sorting out too!

ruin your credit rating if you don't pay them? I'd rather pay the £20 that risk screwing up my credit rating, which COULD happen...

I would then persue it through headquarters and thrown the data protection act stuff at them.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I spoke the the manager on the phone today and told her again. She said she is 'as a good will gesture' willing to half it to £10 *Slaps head*
