Having problems with Demon?

Yes, be warned, they are the absolute pits in every way....the Home 2000 service is little faster than dialup evenings and weekends; customer service is a joke; complaints to the Chief Executive are met with a semi-literate cut and pasted statement which glosses over the problems and a refusal to discuss the matter any further.

I am stuck with Demon for a further 10 months unless I pay off the whole of the balance of the contract. One lesson I have learned is never to sign up for a 12 month contract with any ISP, no matter how attractive the terms appear to be.

Indeed Demon of late have been dire.
That's what comes of upgrading everyone to 2mb free without having capacity to cope.

Speeds seem to have improved a little over the last few days but latency is still a problem. Luckily for me i only have 2 months left on my contract then i will most likely move elsewhere.

One thing is for sure, i won't take on another 12 month contract.

I just had a look at the Demon forum over at ADSLGuide. Have a look at the 'What's Your Speed ' Challenge. Some people are getting diabolical speeds for a 2Mb connection!
