Hi, I signed up to Movie Stream through Quidco, I received three discs, one new film and two old (Matrix 2 + 3) The new one was fine although dvd looked a bit dirty but the Matrix films gave everyone a stutter they were so scratched. I sent the dvds back in Monday's first post and cancelled membership that night. On tuesday I received emails to say they'd been received. This was quite a relief because they stress as you try to cancel that you must get proof of postage if you are intending to cancel or be liable for up to £30 a dvd- thought this sounded dodgy and I'd posted them hours before i read this  .
After reading posts above I was a bit worried- so tried to log in to site to check cancellation of membership has worked. Since it called me a returning customer and tried to resell me a membership I think I'm safe. Thanks for the warnings though guys:T .

    Excellent
I've voted on behalf of a close relative who went through the whole MyMovieStream process and came out the other end unscathed (he's sat beside me at the moment and was reading this site).

No problems at all and it worked like clockwork though he did say that the Customer Service was a bit abrupt.

Due to my extensive DVD collection I'll probably never need to rent a film in the future but Steve reckons they were fine (though he is with LoveFilm now).

PS It's not themightyjack sat next to me :-)

I used Moviestream last mth, cancelled in time before the trial finished, had the discs returned within the 7 days from cancelling, all worked out fine for me, can only say positive things. Am trialling Lovefilm at the moment (through quidco too now) they send individual discs one by one though (not altogether like Moviestream) one is missing in the post already, shame I am having to wait 4 days before I can report it which is eating into my 14 day trial. Cannot watch my disc 3 with me until this Disc 2 turns up either as its a series I am watching so not going to be able to turn around as many discs as I hoped....

They then continue to debit your card, as it's not a Direct Debit, they can charge your card for as long as they like
    - They will not issue refunds of membership fees debited from your card even if you previously canceled

This is what happened to me - they charged me for 3 months after I had cancelled, refusing to refund but saying i could "enjoy their services". Because i emailed complaining 3 times (and they were angry but polite emails) they told me their server would now block me! Complete waste of time. I eventually cancelled my card to stop them stealing my money.

Hi Lizalu sorry to hear about your experience - sadly that's what a lot of people have gone through too, including me. Drop along to the MyMovieStream Complaints board as others could benefit from your experience (just do a search for MyMovieStream top right).

Its gone well for me, staying on as a customer after the trial. Called them up and had a natter because the trial ends before payday and the payment will bounce., the guy sorted it so I could pay on payday :T told them what is going on here,(no I am not a grass) :j :j

They seem too nice for certain comments to be true.

I wonder when making complaints how many people give a full version and how many people give an edited version!

I have to admit I actually think they are alright! The rep said that if I had any problems to call back and speak to him so I will be holding him to that! (Name has been noted) -

Will still keep my blockbuster card in back of wallet just in case!
