Hats off to my local sandwich shop!!!

Options
Well, I'm quite pleased with the handling of my 'point' shown by my local Sarnie shop- not a national company unfortunately-though they could learn from it!

I found a prawn in a cheese savoury sandwich. Initially I sort of ignored it but then got to thinking.. well it doesn't bother me, BUT aren't some people allergic to shellfish? Wouldn't a strict veggie have been upset?

So I rang them for a word. I was not remotely angry or upset and simply said, hi, I think you should know about this... explained my thoughts and was transferred to the manageress who was very upset about it and agreed with everything I said. She said she'd be having words with her team, and asked me to come in again today.

So I went over and was absolutely amazed, that after I stressed I was neither annoyed or complaining about it as I personally was not bothered by my discovery, I was handed a free sandwich, a full refund for my sandwich bought yesterday, and a free coffee!

How nice of them! Greggs take note! :D

A similar thing happened to me at a local pub (The Albion, Idle, Bradford). I had a packet of crips and ate them - fine. Put the packet down on the table and my girlfriend pointed out that they were out of date. I said not to cause a fuss but she insisted I told the landlord (not under the thumb at all).

Went over to see him, told him I wasn't bothered about it but I didn't want anyone else getting funny with him. Gave me my money back and the two remaining packets of crisps. And the Bulls won!
