Sky or Virgin

Options
Moved into new property recently, all wired up for virgin cable. We came with a sky package and sky gave us a good deal. Now at last I am getting my new PC so can get Broadband. Should I go for the Sky broadband (mid range - £5 plus a connection fee, which irritates as we have the full package each month!) or change whole lot for cable. Not sure if it would be simpler to go with virgin as all is set up or stick with sky and let them in to connect up. Any advice please

Do you have a live BT landline and do you know how far from the exchange you are?

for a rough guestimate, after that it will come down to cost. VM is often dearer each month than Sky and with traffic management, bad CS, billing issues they are not everyones cup of tea.

Virgin dont have a customer service do they?
I thought any help you can get off them is in files you have to download that are over 1000Mb big too!
Sky however has 24/7 support, and, i think if you tell them your already a customer and are thinking about going cable, they may wave the connection fee.
Some times all you need to get along is nothing at all.

For cheap decent broadband, poor customer service, poor billing go for VM.

For not as good broadband (slower speeds than advertised) but good customer service, and an okish price. Go Sky.
