I can assure you that Windoze 98 is NOT secure in any shape or form, any WIN32 construct be it 95, 98, 2k, XP is open to attack, I have killed 5 98 machines at work when I found an engineer using them plugged in to our LAN, all ridden with Trojan’s, worm's and malware, if you want a virus free operating system use Linux, pre-windows XP systems including server's should be considered a risk, I am in the process of de-commissioning all of our Win 2k server's very soon, they are a security risk to the business, if you value your identity I would not use Win 98 for banking or submitting any personal data online.
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0
