Thanks so much for spelling all this out with my actual dates which I've put in my phone calendar. I made the mistake of giving a month's notice and then requesting my PAC a few days before the end of my contract last year. I thought I'd never leave 3! I've heard other countries don't have these problems with keeping their number.

I'll let you know if it all goes smoothly.

What a nightmare. I requested my PAC 30 days before. T-Mobile assured me that acted as giving notice. I even confirmed the timing and whether I would be up for any more charges if I didn't use the code till after my contract ended. They assured me I would only be billed for any minutes/texts outstanding after the contract ended.

I've just been charged a £26 early termination fee! I do not intend to use my PAC till my contract ends. Should I not have even requested it till the last day of my contract, though that would mean I would have to stay with them another month?

Does anyone know what my rights are? Their website states under My Plan that my "Contract ends 25/06/2010" When I pointed this out to them they told me this is the date I can upgrade!

I will not be using my PAC by 23 July as the iphone 4 isn't available from either Apple or Tesco. Where does this leave me? Where do I go to to resolve complaints rather than keep phoning the call centre and being told something different every time.

Can anyone help with this? I'm not sure whether to just stay with T-Mobile or move my number onto a PAYG sim, although this would mean unlocking my phone if I leave them. I've already wasted money paying an early termination fees when I haven't terminated by contract. Surely if this doesn't happen they should refund the fee?
