Yes, I do agree here. I am a sad case and like to know precisely what I have in what account, and what I owe to which provider. I check all my accounts online every day, so never miss a payment when required.
Not everyone is as sad as this, so I fully appreciate Direct Debits are better for some people.

Beware of MBNA not sending email reminders about new statements. I didn't find out they'd charged me penalty fees until I got an email from Equifax saying I had a black mark on my credit rating. Fortunately, I got through to someone sympathetic at MBNA who refunded the fees and interest. However, I will be closing the card.Practising Scrooge and stingy old miser.0
