Just a quick thread to include a article I found on the internet regarding getting rid of scratches from your Ipod (including nano) with good old fashioned brasso.
I am a bit scepticle about this but the person has included pictures to suggest it works

Mods / Admin - not sure if this is the correct part of the forum to place this thread

I wonder if this would work on Mobile phone Screens?0

Or even better. If your Nano is scratched up. Take it back to the shop, and get it changed. Even Apple have admitted there is a problem with this model. You should have no problems getting it changed. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

From what I have read on the Internet Apple are saying there are no problems with the nano scratching and they are saying it is down to missuse. At the end of the day it is down to the individual retailers to decide if they want to replace ipods as it does not look like Apple are concerned about the matter at this time0 -

The people have spoken, and Apple has heard them. Sort of. On Tuesday night the computer and music player company admitted that there are problems with the screen of the new iPod NanoWe have received very few calls from customers reporting this problem - we do not think this is a widespread issue. If customers are concerned about scratching we suggest they use one of the many iPod Nano cases to protect their iPod."
A few calls is nothing so Apple wont admit their is a problem until they receive loads of calls / complaints regarding the screens and scratching issue so I cannot see them doing a re-call of items unless the matter gets worse0 -
I used to use this method on the "glass" on my watch, it works.0

They will replace broken screens NOT scratched screens.0

Maybe someone should tell this to the Apple store then.
Quote (this was one of the first stories on this issue)
Matt Baker, who bought his Nano at the Apple Store in Regent Street, said he went back and found that the assistant manager was "(a) fairly apologetic and (b) seemed to have been fielding the same comments all day, and getting rather fed up of them! He said there's no official company policy at the moment on the scratching, but that it is obviously an issue 'just from looking at mine', and that they'll swap it for me with no problems if I bring the whole thing back".

I've seen other forums where many people have had their Nanos changed by the shops because of scratched screens. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
