If you're out of your contract then you should move to 3. You can get the exact same contract with them for £25/month for 12 months. That doesn't exactly help this situation but you might find it useful all the same. May I ask what phone you have, as you may be able to use VoIP calling functions.0

Check out Just Dial. You buy credit by sending them a text which costs £3 or £5. You then can call landlines in the UK. It also gets you cheap rates to landlines or mobiles overseas. You can even use the credit to call from a landline. Access is given by calling an access number. I have used it for years without problems0
