Icesave and talktalk

Icesave may have a best selling ISA in terms of interest rates. However, if TalkTalk is your Internet provider, you'd do well to forget this bank as an option for your savings. They have told me there is an unresolvable issue with TalkTalk. Basically this means I cannot login into my account or do anything with it at all. I asked their customer service people if this means I have to close my account? Their response was singularly unhelpful. That, they said, was up to me. No apologies for the inconvenience of having transferred in the first place or anything. Icesave? Forget it if you are with TalkTalk.

This could be a temporary issue. I had login rejections to Marbles/Beneficial credit card sites a few times using AOL. There was a way of reconfiguring the AOL client to get round this (you typed in something called 'Secure Fix' or 'Fix Secure' into their 'Keywords' and the sites became accesible again.) It's probably something TalkTalk are aware of and should be able to fix (at some stage..)

No. There is no indication of this at all from Icesave. They say they cannot resolve the matter.

If the site works with other ISPs, TalkTalk are the ones who should be resolving the issue, rather than Icesave (not much hope there, from a Carphone Warehouse company, I suspect).

    Sounds like nonsense to me...
I am both a Talk Talk customer and an ICESAVE customer. I have been with both for over a year now and have never had any trouble logging in.

It could be the MTU setting on your router as mentioned here :

Others certainly have had problems - e.g. here.
