I bought a 200ml bottle of glycerin from Boots for about £1.10- it's sold as a basic cough syrup if that helps.
(This was some time ago, and I bought it to rub on the freezer after defrosting- I didn't have to defrost again for ten months
)

glycerin and old fashioned soap flakes are awesome. ot sure you can get em an more but wen i was at school about 20 years ago was in a bubble blowing comp agaisnt other kids from other schools and found secret was glycerin and old fshioned soap flakes was abled to get bubbles 50 cm accros

Ooooh thanks for this, my 2 are driving me nuts wanting to play bubbles all the time and we get through the mixture like its going out of fashion!!! I shall be trying all these hints out this week and am sure i'll have 2 very happy munchkins!!!! x0
