I have MSN the new version (7) on my PC after upgrading from the old one. Anyway now it keeps logging me off the new one saying I am logged in on another computer which I am not. When it logs me off it goes back to the old version. Any thoughts anybody please?

Sounds like someone knows your password... Try changing it and see if that helps. It does seem odd that messenger reverts back to an older version. You could try uninstalling then reinstalling messenger.0

To remove windows messenger go here: http://www.dougknox.com/xp/tips/xp_messenger_remove.htm
Also if someone does know your email/password they are not accessing MSN from your pc they are on their own pc, just logging on to MSN with your information. Have you tried changing your password to see if that helps?0 -
in options of windows mesenger there should be a box to untick to run on start up, or if you have a personal firewall you could set it to not allow connection.
i had same problem and thought people may be getting into my msn, but password changes and it was still happening, i stopped Windows version runing and it never happened again.....0 -
