Utility Warehouse - High User - Any Views ?
Does any one have any experience with Utility Warehouse ?
I am currently with Powergen ( Standard Tarrif Gas ) and Npower Standard tarrif Electricity . I am catching up on Gas payments having underpaid for a number of months but my genuine monthly outgoings are approx
Gas = direct debit £80
Electric = Direct Debit £75
Enegy Helpline suggest I could save 17% percent ( £325) using Utility warehouse but it also cautions against their sales techniques.
next Cheapest Savings are
Atlantic Electric & gas internet Direct (12% saving (£223)
Npower - Sign on line(%11 ) Saving £215) .
Any recommendations on which route I should take . I am fairly unhappy with Powergen as a provider.

OK have sort of answered my own question. Utility Warehouse = Telecom Plus .
Having read through all the posts on this group ( both for and against) I believe I will avoid them as they appear to be somewhat controversial. I will switch when Martin changes his Sticky recommendation.Be Kind0 -
They have just put their prices up by an average of 20% :eek:PF.0

I switched from Powergen to Atlantic and find them OK - prices were last increased 19th Sept 2005 so should be OK for a while, hopefully.0

I've just got back from a seminar and got the increases in my post for Telecom Plus (UWDC). High User standing charge £2.42 per month. Depending where you live Highest unit cost 2.016 and lowest 1.964 for gas. High User Electricity highest standing charge £11.55 and lowest £4.94. Highest unit 8.043 and lowest 5.649 for General. Economy 7 is £11.55 highest and £4.94 lowest with all night rates 3.150 and day rates from 7.014 to 9.314. Prices include VAT, If anybody wants a specific area, just let me know.
Hope this helps.

No they cant anymore,because they are not.
I have just had my price increase letter.They have introduced a Triple Value Guarantee.They say .
1.For gas we guarantee our prices will always be cheaper then BG wherever you live in UK.
2.For your electricity,we guarantee our prices will always be cheaper than the prices charged by the regional electricity supplier for the area where you live.
3.For your complete peace of mind we will compare our prices every month against the average of the cheapest d/d tariffs available from each of the big 6 suppliers on a like for like basis,and if necessary ,we,ll adjust our prices.
They go on to say later " So as a Utility Warehouse customer you can relax in the knowledge you,ll always be paying ONE OF THE CHEAPEST PRICES for your energy,compared with other major suppliers."
Time to move as far as i am concerned, as soon as time is write.After all there Telecom products are not even that competitive.PF.0
