New tarrifs announced on O2 website at http://www.o2.co.uk/iphone/paymonthly#
Basically, it'll be £99 for the 8GB on the £30 and £35 tarrifs, tarrif and free on £45 and £75. The 16GB iphone will be £169 on the £30 and £35, £59 on the £45 and free on £75.
All come with free data, wifi etc. This is actually looking like a good deal.
At least the tarriffs are actually good this time around. Still not enough to shift me onto one, until the iphone can be used as a modem with no third party apps etc then it doesn't get a look in.0 -
HTC phones are so much better... and they don't rely on you sending the phone back to Apple anytime you want something done to it (like a new battery). You're not stuck with O2 either, you've got a choice of any network.Faith is believing what you know ain't so...0

So how long did you use each handset before getting an upgrade? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Maybe all the "speculators" who snatched all the old Carphone Warehouse ones when they were going for £169 and are now selling them on Ebay for around £300 will have to drop their selling expectations,"A nation of plenty so concerned with gain" - Isley Brothers - Harvest for the World0

Did anyone mention.....its going to be on pay as you go :T :T :T0
-
it's probably gonna cost £150 - £200 on pay as you go though..
I'm sure Apple will just translate the $199 US cost to a £199 here for the Pay-As-You-Go when the Contract one will be free or £75.
Apple have stated the iPhone 2 will only be sold at the cheap price when sold with an O2 contract. so you can't get a cheep iPhone and unlock it for your network. You'll have to buy the PAYG one at full cost then unlock it.Laters

I agree.
Likewise, I'm currently using a 3 year old Sony W800i, it's still got the original battery, and it's charge lasts for 10-14 days if I don't make any calls and just text, or about a 7 days with a few calls. I always turn it off and night and on in the morning to save power.
I've kept mobiles for years before changing and never had an issue with batteries.0 -
If this were the V1 iPhone, it'd have been exciting maybe...but for a v2, I still think it's only really catching up with other things out there - nothing much to get worked up about.0
