Best SIM only free texts plan?

Hi All,
A family member is visiting the UK for 3 weeks in July and I wanted to get them a UK SIM to send a few UK based people texts throughout their stay.
Orange has just finished their SIM deal where you get 100 free texts for signing up (no other fees) which would have been ideal...
Does anyone know of a current provider/deal that would suit? Looking for lowest possible outlay for maximum free texts...

Virgin mobile SIM cards come with £3 of free airtime (you get £1 with the SIM, £2 when you register), but that's only 15 to 30 texts.
O2 do 300/500/unlimited free texts for a month if you top up by £10/£20/£30 (so get the sim, add £10 and you get 300 free texts plus the £10 to use).
