The lacoste factory is in Peru.
From past experience (A friend wholesaled a load of these about 3 years ago you could get them very cheap form the states) the ones with "Made In Peru" written on them tend to be genuine.
At the time for some reason counterfeiters didn't put "Made in Peru" on them - not sure if this is still the case though.
But I've noticed this with many other clothing lines as well i.e deliberate and obvious errors - seemingly to let people know they are not the real thing.
Either that or they are really stupid.
