I only meant in winter of course. And if you cannot wear what you want to in your own home, things have reached a sorry state surely ! And you can alwqays take your cap off before answering the door if being seen with a hat on bothers you. (What 's the silliest sight you'll see on tv? A female weather-forecaster doing the forecast from an outsie location in the middle of the winter. She wears knee length kinky boots, gloves, the heaviest of heavy coats, a big scarf AND ABSOLUTLEY NOTHING ON HER HEAD ! Has nobody lold these people that they loose most of their body's heat through their heads?)0

As someone who went through Chemotherapy this year and had to wear a hat/scarf & pull on clingy type scull cap because I had total loss of hair, believe me, now I have my hair back even though its very curly and two toned (zebra black & white)There is nothing on this earth would make me wear a hat again. I don't care how cold it is either0

I wonder if chemo makes it curly.. was it curly before? I know someone who lost all of hers during treatment and hers grew back really curly it is lovely.. so she straightens it! No before it was straight as a board, not only is it curly, its a different colour to what its been for 67 years:eek: very dark now, and the bits that aren't,are white hence the two tone effect:rotfl: :rotfl: good job I have a sense of humour about it all.It still beats polishing it though:D0 -
I dont think i could wear a hat indoors, they make me itchy and i have lots of hair so i think that insulates just as well. In summer i have to wear my hair up just to let some heat out. In winter i keep it down and it keeps my neck lovely and toasty.
I dont like wearing a coat in the house but i do like having a blanket/fleece round me at all times, i think it is a comfort thing, maybe i have just never grown out of it!One day, i will be a genius. One day, they will perfect brain transplantation.0 -
Should everyone go back to wearing some form of headgear indoors (as used to happen in many families in the old coal-fire days)?
I think you have a great idea :T but may have some way to go for it to be taken up more widely
I'll add this to the existing Keeping Warm thread

When my daughter was about 13 she lost most of her hair,we never found out why. When it grew back in about 6 months later she had realy tight curls.
She's in her 30s now and her hair is back to being polker straight,it never fell out again thank goodness and we still don't know why it did in the first place.0 -

My lupus is making my hair fall out at an alarming rate, and I often wear a bandanna-style scarf because I can't bear to be seen some days. So I'd think nothing of wearing headgear indoors. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

I have always got cold legs even when I have full length thermals on.
My brother told me you have to be warm before you put them on and I do this but the tops of my legs are really cold.
They are not really expensive ones (M&S) but I thought they would help.
I'm dreading Winter if I'm cold now.
I only warm up once I am in bed.
Can anyone suggest a good pair that does the job?NSK Zombie # SFD 7/15 Food Bank £0/£5
