As to being judged, well TBH yes I do judge you. I think your priorities are extraordinary, and I'm annoyed that people like me have to subsidise them. Since you mention MSE, I think it's to help and offer support, not to cheer you on. You're like someone coming out of rehab asking for directions to the nearest pub. I'm sorry if you don't want to be told that.
how are you subsidising me?as for my priorities, which since you know me so well,i've been getting a new house buying two new cars having a family holiday. i wanted advice on surround sound tv !!!!!!

i wouldnt go down the cheap route coz the sound wont be as good and it may not do dts sound. you dont have to spend a fortune to get a relatively decent one. you should be able to get something for around £200. this is the one we have which i see is now reduced.

For the price most people are willing to pay for a surround system, they would be better off getting a decent pair of stereo speakers; cheap surround systems make a lot of racket, but they rarely sound good.
if your system doesnt decode 5.1 sound or dts sound then you wont get it. you also need 6 speakers in total to get 5.1 and dts. home cinema systems will have them but some cheaper ones dont do dts.0 -

The irony, of course, being that the less you spend, the more likely it is to be a waste of money0 -
