Crysis is a bit of a one-off... nothing can run it at full power!
I can
Consoles are an excellent choice for gaming, especially the Xbox 360 as the architecture of it makes it very easy for PC games to port over to it and vise versa which means you're never really going to miss the top titles and xbox live is great.0 -
thanks for all the responses guys, with relation to 'Consoles vs PC'. I already own a PS3, it's a great piece of kit and I enjoy using it but in all honesty PC gaming is still vastly superior imho.
Lets not forget that a PC game; World of Warcraft, is still the most successful computer game of all time (in financial terms). Nothing on PS3/Xbox/Wii even comes close to those numbers.
PC Gaming isn't dead, at least not yet...
I'll take a look at links mention above and hopefully makes a decision pretty soon.
thanks again.0 -

Of course it's financially successful; you have to pay every month to play it! There are many console games that have sold more copies than WoW has.
I don't really see how a game being financially successful benefits you (unless you're getting a cut of the profits), but it's your money I guess! :beer:0 -
Great business model World of Warcraft has, I don't call it World of Walkcraft for nothing
It has me hook, line and sinker addicted to it and has done for three years. £320 to play a game, I must be barmy!0 -
At least in Eve Online, you can use in game credits to pay for your subscription.0

Be nice if you could do that in Warcraft, I'd be able to actually use some of my huge amounts of Gold I've got through running a cartel on the auctions0

If your looking for a dedicated gaming computer..Alienware may be one of your better bets. They are dedicated to gaming laptops. I don't have time to compare specs at work but here's a link:

I have to say that I find Alienware PCs very overpriced. For a gaming laptop I'd far rather go with the Dell XPS.
Of course a gaming laptop is a pretty specialised piece of kit and you pay at least £1k more to get the same specs as a gaming desktop.
Even if someone travels a lot and wants to play games on the move my preference would be to get a decent gaming desktop, a laptop for travelling and a PSP/DS for gaming on the move. You'd easily get all of those for £1500.Says James, in my opinion, there's nothing in this world

Not sure if it's been said, but ditch the raptor. Overpriced junk really. The Samsung SpinPoint is much better drive and cheaper and bigger.0

If you're a gaming enthusiast and you are trying to squeeze as much out of your machine as possible then they are a good investment, however if you just want to play games and have them look nice they are OTT.0
