ok.. prospectus in hand.. what courses have the least written work and the least 'homework' ... my time management is not good at home. Oddly I was actuallylooking at doing 1 a-level.. an easy one.. (that I already did half of) .. maybe.. biology.. sociology. I did do the RSA counselling thing years ago (14 I was pg with DD1) and I did child psychology diploma thing (12 years ago lol.. that was distance learning)

I do NOT want to do the C&G dressmaking I am being pushed to do.

I am seriously considering applying for this bar job.. I got the application for DS1 but he doesn't want to do it and it is looking at me!! They want morning, evening and weekend staff which would be perfect for me.

Pigpen - 90% of the Project Managers I've had the pleasure (?) to encounter couldn't organise a pee up in a brewery either - but they have the blarney and the balls to PRETEND they can. With your outgoing personality, you could do just as well as them - all you need is the gift of the gab - and you have that (meant in the nicest possible way of course!).

First batch of cordial cooling. DS1 wanted to stay up with me so I said ok if you snip all the tiny flowers off the stalks!

Just going to look at the Tom Toms again and make a decision.

    Evening all

Brief post again as I'm shattered, think IBS really is kicking off! (that'll teach me to use that as an excuse to go for an interview:o)

    Will add my list tomorrow.

    Bonsi - have emailed you

Germish - we used to live in Nailsea but moved to be nearer to family (brother's half a mile away, DH's family in West Wales). Mum and Dad are both at Worle Crematorium so visit regularly & my aunt lives in St Joseph's Road.

Off for Bubble bath and bed, so hugs to all, and goodnight wishes. x

Oh and :hello: to more newbies.

  • Hello everyone - just had a very quick read through the thread because, after all my hard work on my kitchen yesterday and bathroom today I came in from taking DD2 to swimming to find DD1 (the stroppy 17 year old) lying on the couch laughing her head off on the phone (landline to mobile too:mad: ) to her bf and water was cascading through the kitchen ceiling from the bathroom above, where she had run a bath and left the shower over it running too and it had all flooded everywhere. She wasn't a bit bothered and I just lost it! Anyway - had to put tubs everywhere to catch the water and then do a major mop up and isolate the electrics - teenagers!

Anyway, kitchen is okay now and bathroom is okay except the bath seal has cracked under the weight of water so I will have to get that sorted tomorrow.

I am really lilking this flylady thing. Pigpen/germish/gnb - I am thinking of doing some kind of retraining - I was a HR manager in a Government Department for 20 years before getting made redundant with a good payoff two years ago and since then I have been a stay at home mum living off the redundancy money, which will run out in about a year's time so I think I need to do some sort of course because I don't ever want to do HR again - I hated it! I was thinking of training in some kind of holistic/alternative therapies and then I could work from home.

I manage to finish my list for today - just have some ironing to put away, but computer area is already untidy again thanks to DD1.

Hope you are all having a nice evening.
