You have asked this question several times. All the information is on your previous threads.

To tell you to look at your previous posts!

It is not fair to expect people to keep writing the same things, just because you can't be bothered to reread your previous threads.

OK we have had two responses(threads). Both of these were suggesting contacting debt charities. Done!!! However if you really read our thread, it stated 'people with similar experiences sought' re being outside UK. So 'can't be bothered' statement is unhelpful, rude, and a little judgmental. Please stop posting us.

This site is for UK help so looking for people with similar circumstances outside UK is possibly looking at the wrong website.

Where did I say 'can't be bothered'? If you had not already had the information you needed, I would have given you the relevant information. But you have already had it, twice.

Why not go and ask in your local if anybody has gone bankrupt? You'll get more people living abroad there than you will on here! :p

Your looking for a fight and I obviously need to block your nonsense.
You know Martin has recently posted something that you should read, but then you wont will you.
Be more careful how you speak to people when you have no idea what there circumstances are. We have found useful support and need to concentrate on that. I asked you not to reply and you have! Listen carefully....no more stuff. OK.

Maybe your right. But the debt is in the UK. It was created in the UK. We have only recently taken on a permanent work offer abroad. The other thing is that there is a lot English people abroad who read this site for sure. Is it a stab in the dark? We don't know. Are there others with similar sites, we will look. Thanks for your reply.

My feeling is that £10k is an incredibly small amount to be considering bankruptcy.

I am sure that you could organise your finances around this, try and move the debt to lower rates, maybe look ar your outgoings and incomings to try and pay more of the debt off.

You haven't really given us any details on the debt, but perhaps if you post more detail on the DFW (Debt Free Wannabee) board you will get more positive responses. There are people there that have gone bankrupt and dealt with debts and should be well placed to advice you on the way forward.

They will need more detail though - who are the debts with ? what are the rates ? what are the repayments ? how much are you able to pay ?

Don't take this the wrong way, but I am getting the impression that you just want to go bankrupt in order to write off the debt. I know this may seem like a good option, but believe me, it is not - you will struggle to get credit or 6 years, and it is not worth it for the sake of £10k IMO. Try and work out a repayment schedule, be positive, it can be sorted. Good Luck.
