oh have you got a specific budget at all - also good places to get prams are mothercare world and toys r us

just make sure the shop assistants let you try them out at putting them up and down and making sure car seat sits in easily. most companies will let you try putting it in and our of car to see how you will manage

vk2008 we tried the quinny and although its easy to put down it is so lightweight that was our worry. daughter thought it could tip up . no we dont live in scotland we live in the south east but finding the right pram has been hard and my daughters budget is around the 650 mark so hopefully should find something to suit.

    check this thread out http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=933595&highlight=WHICH+PRAM

Best thing to do first is check out which car seat fits in all cars that it is going to be used in.....then choose the pram. See my reply in thread as to my lovely story.

Also be carefully with tyres that can puncture...nightmare! think Quinny has these.

i have had many prams/buggies. i have a 3 month old who is my fourth child and i bought a graco mosaic travel system - hate it!!! i have since bought a second hand bebe confort loola. i love it that my baby faces me. i would say that it is a little bit difficult to get up kerbs and sometimes through doorways but being able to see my baby more than makes up for this. i only have the basic pram but carrycots and car seats are available for this. with a budget of 650 you will surely be able to get something perfect for you. Remember to think about how it will fit in the car though. x
    now mum of 4!!!

We have the Quinny Speedi which is the bigger one than the buzz, I would not recommend it. It is lightweight but not quite blow away lightweighth!! I just found it has become very rickety in the 6 months we have used it so far. But saying all that we bought the Quinny Zapp 6m+ and it is great to just stash in the car so we always have a buggie handy.
So if this sways you I would not buy the bigger Quinny again

nice to see you are getting to grips with the loola 3 kids!

OP I have the loola too and it's quite good - it's been updated since I got it so couldn't comment on the new one really though I imagine they are much the same. I recently bought a lightweight buggy for town shopping which turned out to be a bad buy as you cannot walk fast without kicking the bottom of it (v. annoying) so I'd advise trying out the one you want before buying - little things can make a real difference.

hauck is a very good brand- and they are pretty cheap as well. i had a graco with my dd and didnt like it. for my ds i bought a hauck travel system and i was very impressed considering the low price on them.

i have been told that the bugaboo is pretty good but they were out of my price range so cant speak from experience!

Each person has a different requirement for a pram/pushchair. I went to Mothercare and they were fab. I tried lots of different ones, made sure it would fit in the car etc and the staff were excellent.

I personally dislike the travel system as I'm quite petite and dont like heavy prams. I also walked a lot when my little one was small so I wanted something nippy and quick to use yet not too bulky.

Definitely try them out in store to get a good idea of what you like best.

our tip try them all out and think what you will use them for. If you need to get one to fit in the car make sure it will, make sure it has swivel wheels and dont get one thats to bulky.

Also try to choose a buggy that doesnt take a car seat, they say you should only leave your baby in the car seat for no more than 2 hours as it can damage the spine and if you travel somewhere by car and then put them in the buggy your 2 hours are up. Not many shops tell you this but there was plenty of research out when our daughter was born.

bet no matter what you get you will end up spending again later.

For our two we have had a Silver Cross with a carry cot (to big), a mamas and papas A2 with mypod (excellent), 2 Maclarens (our favourite but not until they are a little older) and a quinny zapp, good for taking on planes but sleeping position isnt very good.

Our friends were in the same boat, you end up spending a fortune on prams and car seats and end up having lots of them. :)
