I wouldn't expect anything else.TRUSt_NO_1 wrote: »I'll keep it simple...
LOL, nothing gets past you then.TRUSt_NO_1 wrote: »Barclays is a bank
You better sit down.....All banks do this, you deposit £10 they lend out £20, they been doing it for decades. If you bother to watch the news you will see that banks are scurrying around trying to raise their capital levels, ...because much of the assets are not backed.TRUSt_NO_1 wrote: »Certain banks can create 'money' out of thin air (at the click of a mouse).
Barclays is one of them.
Welcome to Capitalism, western style.TRUSt_NO_1 wrote: »They don't want the general public to realise that this electronic money is worthless and is a means to make a few individuals mega rich, whilst the rest of the world is becoming impoverished.
I wonder why it is, that when "some people" wake up, they always think they are the first to have this startling realization?TRUSt_NO_1 wrote: »But some people are waking up to this fraud and are starting to invest in tangibles. This trend must be contained for the banks 'electronic' money business to continue.
Quite right, because if every idiot want to own the tangible the result would be skyrocketing inflation, since the tangible has a finite supply when it comes to natural resources, that said you'd have to be pretty clueless to invest in an etf on a finite resource, with a view to taking physical delivery at some point in the future if you do any research at all it's pretty obvious that etf's are not 100% backed by the underlying.TRUSt_NO_1 wrote: »So they put an investment vehicle (an ETF) to divert this investment trend into their electronic money, and away from the 'real' thing, whilst at the same time predicting a bleak outcome for these tangibles.
Well that actually is true, when people wake up to the realities of how fragile the banking system is, usually identified in one particular bank you get something called a "run" fortunately people are willing to accept that the rest of the system is reasonably sound.TRUSt_NO_1 wrote: »They do not want people to wake up to reality.
Yep happy to do that, if you can find any bank willing to offer £1,000,000 for a Kilo of gold put them in touch with me.TRUSt_NO_1 wrote: »Answer this question
If I could create £1,000,0000 at the click of a mouse...would you give me a kilo of silver or gold for it ?
Because that is exactly what they can do...
You need to broaden your reading mate, then a lot of this won't come as such a big shock, perhaps get out more and meet a wider range of people than you current circle, you might be surprised what people know, but simply don't care about.Hope for the best.....Plan for the worst!

Who said I was shocked ?
Strange that you agreed with all my points, then come out with above.
I'm sure lot's of people don't give a toss about ETF's.
About 29 out of 30 of the people I know probably think an ETF is an alien.
The other 1 hasn't sobered up yet.
Where do you suggest I meet this wider circle ?
