The biggest giveaway is the formatting of the phone number, no one in the UK writes a phone number in that format!

I thought the email address was a bit of a giveaway as why would T-mobile not use their own website address - and googling the one that is given produced loads of stuff about 419 scams

I do. In fact all the numbers in my mobile phone are in that format. Perhaps you don't deal with people in/go to other countries?

For me I'd just check which email address it was sent to. At least once I knew it was a scam I'd know which company had given away my email address.

If you look at the formatting, it's been written in the North American format!

We would write +44 1234 345678 or + 44 (0)1234 345678; so you can cut out your sarcasm thank you very much:rolleyes:!

I didn't notice that, and thought you were referring to the +44 instead of simply using 0.
so you can cut out your sarcasm thank you very much
Perhaps you'd like to be a little less ambigious next time instead of getting all offended when you're misunderstood.
