Have recently applied for these three cards all in the same day.

Does anyone know how long it will be before I hear the outcome of my applications?

You can have multiple MBNA cards though Clio

I have heard of people holding up to 5 separate MBNA cards at any one time.

Only thing is they may reduce the Credit Limit accordingly, but they also allow you to move Credit Limts across from card to card.

    I like MBNA

    Yes 95% of £6000 is £5700

Nice amount of cash to stooze straight to an interest bearing account.

Just to update everyone, I received two consecutive texts...one from MBNA platinum and one from Virgin (also MBNA) this morning informing me I've been approved for both cards. Don't know credit limits yet but after I've loaded by existing 11,500 limit from A&L (also MBNA) onto the new MBNA cards my limit should be up to at least 15 or 16k! Happy days!

I applied for the cards last Tuesday online so it would seem a decision takes about 4 working days.

    Thanks for everyone's help.

I applied online last Wednesday for Capital One's* Platinum card, offering 0% on purchases and balance transfers until 1 September 2009, followed by 12.9% APR. The result of the application timed out so I rang them. Was told that the application went through okay but that they have pre-approved me for a different card 0% until 1 February 2009, followed by 19.9% APR.

According to moneysupermarkets smart search my credit profile is Excellent.

I was surprised at being offering such a rubbish card. and told them to cancel the application there and then.
