If you tell me the make, model, year, mileage and driving style then I can give you an approximate £ per mile figure.
Go on then:D
Its a ford focus 2 litre ghia estate, 02 plate, 20000 miles on the clock and I'm a fairly sensible driver, stick to limits but like a bit of (sensible) speed on the open road;)0 -

About 12 pence per mile, depending on your driving, speed and traffic conditions.0 -
remove the first class recorded option, if its a tight deadline offer special only!
if you offer recorded, there's a good chance it won't show!money saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)

The real cost of driving a car is a lot more than just fuel.
OK, insurance, road tax and garaging costs are prety much the same whether you make that delivery trip or not. But the depreciation will increase, wear and tear will occur and the car will be taken that bit closer to its next service. And then there's the fuel.
If you tell me the make, model, year, mileage and driving style then I can give you an approximate £ per mile figure.
were just giving purplepatch a figure to deliver around 20 miles at the most so i dont think depreciation and wear and tear will increase much in this case;)0 -

But you wouldn't use much petrol over 20 miles either, and so to use your logic we should ignore that cost too!!!!0 -

The following fixed costs you will incur regardless of whether your car is used or not for any given journey:
Insurance
Age based depreciation
VED
Garaging
Then the running costs which are:
Petrol - approximately 12p per mile for your car.
Servicing - approximately 3p per mile for your car (source AA)
Wear & Tear - approximately 2p per mile for your car (source AA)
Tyres - approximately 1p per mile
Mileage based depreciation - approximately 5p per mile for your car (assuming you do a normal amount of miles per year).
So a total of approximately 23p per mile.0 -
what about setting a maximum, within say two junctions of a motorway or even to meet some one half way....smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

Not too much likelihood it will come to this. The show is in my nearest main town, about 5 miles from where I live. Would have thought anyone wanting the tickets will live fairly locally to me. Don't think I'll offer to go much further than a 20 mile round trip.
No bids yet anyway  (but 4 people watching).0 -
Im so sorry about this but I'm trying to start a new thread concerning Inland Revenue - I can't find the link to start a new thread - can anybody help me please??0
