i presume the wilkoplus site is urs aaronmanz? hence the weird spammy post.
In reference to the blog/rant, it wasnt the womans fault the items were scanned wronged.

was in wilkos the other day, the garden stuff looked good, would have bought some only had too many bags to carry, but noticed a number of good offers like half price seeds, and the regular priced items seemed good value also. May pop in again today *will be checking my reciept* :P

Yep, it's arronmanz's site, hence the spam and the abuse thrown at JWF. Last time I give a spammer the benefit of the doubt!

The blog post is hilarious! You've got to love the irony that the spammer tells you how great Wilkos is then directs you to a site where Wilko customers are treated with absolute contempt :rotfl: A few choice excerpts for the intrigued:

"The glamarous customers with their double buggies cluttering aisles and the pensioners that need personal shoppers aswell as the Posh *edited for language* that can’t see to bag their own goods at the tills!"

"Of course this lady, having nothing better to do, had a look at her receipt and noticed the unwelcome overcharge!!"

"Being an intelligent customer as most of ours are..."

"It shows how customers don’t take our word for it, it was completely her problem that she failed to notice the difference on the receipt as she left the store..."

And then, he solicits for praise about Wilko customer service!!!

So glad I don't work in customer services any more, and pretty glad too that I've never encountered any reaction like that when I've had to complain! I can imagine how it went: customer complains, customer service treats her with contempt, she gets angry, he gets obstructive... Sigh.
  • I know it's been posted before , somewhere, although I can't for the life of me find it again. Have you been to the website www.!!!!!!!!!!!!!/belevenissen-van-een-tuinkabouter You only pay for the postage...REALLY! It's actually a seed-swap site but if you don't have seeds you can just pay the postage . I ordered 17 types of seeds and they came, really well labelled etc. in 5 days. I actually went back and sent them another £10 as they were well worth it. Just have a look , can't believe I have ever paid for seeds and will be sending my excess to them next year. Well worth a look

Why would i bother to spam you arrogant twit.

All the information i give is credible, don't believe me? Look on the wilkinson website itself!

Also it's not all about the money, i am proud to work at and sell Wilkinson products, if you have a problem with that then deal with it :j

With that attitude, I can't imagine you working in their customer services department.

Yes do check your receipt, we advise this! Because if you were overcharged you are unlikely to get any money back once you have left the store.
We have sold most of our garden bits in our store, now only small pools left and some fertilizers/pesticides which haven't been reduced yet!

In response to "your spammy post", well i am a site moderator, i dont own the site but i do like shouting about Wilkinson's good value! Shows how dedicated of an employee i am

Our plants are rubbish i agree, but this is no fault of our own...they are sent to us and have a hard time in the dry store environment as they are indoors when the store is shut, i apologise if you have had problems with these, this is a company-wide problem

As for trolley, all Wilkinson Stores have them, just sometimes they can be in short supply, we only have about 7 trollies for the whole store and we encourage customers to tell us when there are non left, and we will try to locate some for you.

Hmm, come and see me if you like

I am just not content having people deeming my posts as Spam, i agree, i did try to promote the website, however i genuinely believe we have the best prices. Maybe our customer service is lacking, however we are trying to improve on this...we have just had new Sales advisor training that should give us a fresh attitude towards consumers. With low prices you have to make a little sacrifice, if we were as polite as M&S we would have to raise our prices:p

There are no seeds left in my local one - just a couple of sad-looking fruitcanes (one of them mouldy around the roots) and some badly-bruised bulbs.

And the shop smells a bit musty overall.... :(
Oh come on, don't be silly.

    It's the internet

Never did the old adage "Pay peanuts - get monkeys" ring so true......
