Made The Decision What Now ??

I have finally decided after much deliberation to go bankrupt.

I am going to phone CAB to make an appointment with an advisor who can help me through paperwork etc.,

What do I do now....do I phone my local court and request forms?
Will I have to make payments to OR if [ which I doubt ] I have any surplus income....if so for how long?

If one of my creditors is Barclaycard would I still be considered for a basic account with Ba

I am going to phone CAB to make an appointment with an advisor who can help me through paperwork etc., Well done! you can also use National Debtline or the CCCS if you need more advice. You can never have too much!

What do I do now....do I phone my local court and request forms? yes. Or you can download them off the internet or fill them in online. More info at the end of this message.
Will I have to make payments to OR if [ which I doubt ] I have any surplus income....if so for how long? yes, if you have a surplus of £99 or more then you will pay a % of it to the OR for 3 years- the amounts can change if you have a change in circumstances, and it can even be cancelled if you lose your surplus. Post up an I & E on here for the peeps to check over if you like.

If one of my creditors is Barclaycard would I still be considered for a basic account with Ba not usually a problem, but theres always the option of Co-Op cashminder

I already have a account with co-op, its in joint names, will it still be possible to down grade to basic account? or should my husband open one just in his name?
Also do I now inform my creditors that I'm intending to go bankrupt?

I would say take your name off the joint acc and then open a basic co-op cashminder acc in your name only.

As far as creditors are concerned just tell them you are having problems and are getting advice from cab, should hold them at bay until you get a date fixed.D

Probaby being thick......but do I open the cash minder after BR?...Will they still freeze account if just in OH's name?
I presume I'm right in thinking I have to state OH's wage as well?
I have been doing DMP with Payplan which is no longer sustainable financially....[PayPlan actually not being much help.]...will this make any difference to my BR being considered?
