I poke away as much of the wax as possible with a knife and then put the Yankee Candle jar in the dishwasher it comes out perfect and clean.Live on a little over £4k challenge

Whoa - what a lot of replies - Merry Widow I would love to know where I can get wickes from. I successfully removed the wax from the 2 yankee candle jars - It was sooooo simple, I started to cut out the middle metal disk, and the wax was so soft it just fell away into lumps that I have now emptied into a tub - awaiting instructions from Merry Widow as I would love to use remaining wax to make new candles!! There must be enough wax for about 20 or so tealights. If I had a pound for every...... oh sod it, if I just had a pound I'd be richer!0

Sorry Merry i have been "unavailable" for a couple of day. Thankyou for the essential oil information.
I love my candle and light them every day.
"Lucky to have a husband who cooks" I used to say that then he said, no, you are deserving! I love that man0 -
I'm a PartyLite consultant and our wax usually burns completely..just leaving a little residue that you can remove with boiling water...I've never had a jar or holder crack on me...Determined to be a thrifty Mama!0

CravingSaving - sorry I have been nursing a cyst under my eyelid - wow was that painful All better now. Candlemakers Supplies in London supply wicks. Wicks are sold to match the width of candle you intend to make. Cheats way. Buy a box of cheap Tea lights in metal cups - push the wick and wick support out. Melt your perfumed candle leftovers gently - WATCH TILL THEY MELT - just. Place you metal cups on some newspaper, pour in the wax and leave to cool a little - you will see a skin start to form - then insert your wick and its support into the cup. If you insert the wick too soon it will melt and fall over - trust me - I have made thousands - got it down to a fine art.
If you look on the Candlemakers website you will see candle perfumes for sale. Same procedure as before but melt the wax from the T.lights, add some perfume and proceed as before. Hey Presto. The perfumes will last for ages and save you the cost of those posh perfumed t lights.
Good luck - shout if all is not clear.member # 12 of Skaters Club

Hallo Poppy Hoppy - never heard of partyLites before. Can you explain more. You must have a great product if they burn well and evenly. Another of our 'girls' on another thread is looking for 17 candles for her wedding. They will be placed in front of 17 small windows high up in barn walls. She wants them to burn for 18 hours undisturbed. I explained she would need them in glass and of very good quality. Maybe that is something you could supply her with. Hope you dont mind me asking. thanksmember # 12 of Skaters Club
