K770i dispute with 3 nwrk
Im on the 3 ntwrk and have a SE k770i which has a fault and 3 have agreeded to take it back. Im 6mths into their mix n matck 300 contract (18mths) which is £15 per mth plus i stump up an extra £3 per mth for having the k770i, total is £18 per mth. Now, 3 decided they would only offer me a Nokia 6120 or a SE 660i wich i think are lower spec phones, but they said if i take one of these (and they are only refurbished phones by the way- to add insult to injury) i`d still have to pay the extra £3 per month, the two they offered me are currently on offer with the mix n match 300 for £15 per month all in. When you phone this horrible 3 (wich ill never use again), you only get their customer services in Asia. And its like speaking to a brick wall, they said its Sonys problem and nowt to do with them and they were only offering me one of the two phones as a goodwill gesture. In the shop in Dundee where i got the phone they said i should be intitiled to something like a Nokia 6500 or a SE880 as these have similar spec. Im at the end of my tether and they said take it or leave it, its not negotiable. Anyone help please

 I'm having similar issues.
I'm now on my 6th call to customer services regarding the apauling signal reception on my K770i. Apparently this is a fault acknowledged by Sony, so i've been offered a Sony W660i, which i've grudgingly had to accept as I still have a year to go on my contract.
I'm waiting for this to arrive as we speak, although they cannot say what colour it will be - it might be a red one - which is totally unsuitable for me, as i've said to the advisor i'm a 36 year old bloke not a 16 year old female school leaver, of course this fell on deaf ears.
Other than that, total abivalance to my problem, and a failiure to understand that I bought my phone on looks (very important to me) when i asked to cancel my contract as i'm not getting the level of service i expected i was told it would cost me £251 to come out of it.
I don't get angry about many things but this has really wound be up, so i would definately say DON'T CHOOSE 3 if you are thinking about changing phones.0 -
You can take in into a CPW (even if not bought from them) and they will repair it for free, or send it to Sony , to repair it. If they cannot, they will offer a free exchange, of the same phone.

Im no expert on 3 policies, but i do work for another networks return department. I
f a handset goes wrong its exchanged for another one, if it is withdrawn by the company and you still have one we offer another handset on the same tarriff, we also offer refurb handsets if there over 28 days its to do with getting money back of the supplier ie;sony.
You shouldent have to pay extra if you no longer have that phone ! My advice would be to go to their retentions/billing dept and play hell with them, you could see if another network would "pay" your contract off to switch to them,if any will use that as leverage.
Id look into what phones are new on the market, a word of advice stay away from the se K850i and the Nokia n95 1gb they are always braking !:j mseswgwa:j0 -

Dito, everything you said is a complete mirror image of my problem, i was - like you - about to accept the 660i until the android i was speaking to at 3CS bleeped out that the replacement was`nt even new (refurbished) but they did give me £5 off my next bill, this was a goodwill gesture for me hardly ever getting a singnal since the start of the contract (6mth in with 12mth to go). Great! ill try contacting the billing androids, if not ill take the swap sell it and put a bit off cash to that to get the phone i want to get me to the end of my contract. BTW the phone isnt repairable. So will i renew with 3 in a years time???? I`d rather burn my house down:mad:0
