About £1,571.70? Really not bad, and nothing I can see from a scheduled point of view that would improve that. Maybe a charter-knowledgable person migth help. And QR J is lovely. See if you can fit in a couple of days at Kandalama. Pretty special!

Is 10 days too long in Dubai?

Remember Virgin is Upper Class, or Business Class to most people (although the Virgin marketing machine tries to tell us all it is just like other airlines first class). I personally think 1 night in Dubai is one night too long, but i'll be in a minority! Why not combine with Oman, which truely is an interesting place?

I'm no expert, just having a quick look and found return BC flights for £1152.07 each

14th to the 28th, with BA and Jet airways.

Let me know if I'm missing the obvious!

I don't suppose First Choice PE would be sufficient? The cost is around half of BC - yes, and with good reason I can hear you saying ;0)
