Northern Rock Cash ISAs

Am I going mad? I was about to apply for one of these and transfer in some cash from another ISA. Their website was down yesterday for a while and I've only just been back, and now their cash ISA says 'up to £3600' only. I'm sure until yesterday it accepted transfers .

I didn't want A&L because of the time they're taking to do transfers - had actually opened an account I was about to cancel in favour of the NR one - but wondering now if I should join on the back of the A&L queue after all!

Yes that is right you can save upto £3600 every tax year as it currently stands in a cash ISA. So you could be £1000 in now and then £1000 next month etc

Yes but what I mean is that until yesterday I'm sure it also accepted transfers in from previous years, so I could have put in this year's allowance and transferred previous years in from where they are at the moment. Now it seems not... issue 69 and issue 79 of their fixed-rate ISA seem no longer to exist!

From what I can see you can follow the link for the transfer in form for their fixed rate ISA, issue 69, here: http://www.northernrock.co.uk/savings/isas/fixed-rate-isa/apply-now/
