The plastic boxes are cheap and ideal. Wrap in Christmas paper .
Can use the box afterwards too.

Can I just point out that we dont have a lot of money (spend about £35 a week for the 3 of us) and we live very healthily
I would probably add items that are nice and they wouldnt normally be able to buy like treats.

Might be an idea to pop in a recipe book for cheap but nutricious meals? For the times when they don't get stuff from work?
I'd suggest copying the recipes from Old Stylers, but I'd have a job copying it all and then making it presentable.I'm sure some techie minded OS might know

Thanks,

Its just one person and I think they have less than £10 per week to spend on food and household goods. I have suggested freshly cooked food but she told me she can't afford meat and vegetables.0

Then tell her she's wrong, and if she needs help sign her up here, point her at Old Style and if need be point her at my email address (on my avatar - picture) and I/WE will all help. I know how to live on sod all a week, I've done it - six quid a week...
..I know I posted rather more than that in the Grocery thread earlier but that was for everything and I DO, these days, have more to spend than in those bad old days.
Many of us have been there, some of us still are, and ALL of us will be happy to help.
