Wakefield Travelodge

Hi there, Was just wondering if anyone has stayed in the travelodge at Wakefield (Lower Warrengate).Have booked 3 nights in July.Does anyone know how much car parking costs as the website doesn't say. Also is there any pub or restaurants nearby? Also is the Train station within walking distance of the hotel?
Thanks for your Help

You are close to being right in the centre of Wakefield and only 3-4 mins walk from both of the main train stations (Kirkgate and Westgate). One thing you won't be short of is finding a pub in Wakefield! Good restaurants aren't so common though. Good Indian/Mexican/Italian/Chinese within a few mins walk.

Thank you very much for that :) Just hope the car parking doesn't cost too much

3-4 minutes walk from the train stations.. are you insane?!!?!

the travelodge is near the new Marsh Way development, which is about a 3 - 4 minute walk from the Bus station. if you're coming by train, you'll probably end up at Westgate train station. You can get the "free city bus" to the bus station, otherwise you'd be walking for about 15 minutes in my opinion.

Wakefield is full of pubs bars clubs and crap like that.. I live here... i hate wakefield, is it awful pubs bars clubs, rather than classy and nice pubs bars clubs..

if you travel out of wakefield city centre, there are some nice places to visit etc...

15m to walk 500m ...do you use a Zimmer? 3-4 mins to Westgate is a bit low, but 15 is too high --lets split the difference and say about 8-10mins!
