feedback rating dropped

In theory yes, but since it's no longer possible for a seller to leave neutral or negative feedback for a buyer, some sellers consider feedback for buyers somewhat meaningless and don't bother leaving any anymore.Am I missing something?
Surely buying something should give you positive feedback and put your percentage up
Until recently, neutral fb did not count towards the percentage, but now it does, even including neutrals before the changes were made: applying this change retrospectively is grossly unfair, but that's eBay for you. The charity shop for which I volunteer selling on eBay suddenly dropped from 100% to 97.5% when neutrals from some ago were counted towards our total.
Each non-positive feedback requires 2000 positives over the period taken into account (previously lifetime, now the last year) in order to be rounded up to 100%, so a seller with over 2000 positives total but a smaller number recently will see their % score drop if they've had a neutral or neg within the last year.0 -
Mine's not gone down yet, 99.5%, only because I got a neutral from a seller saying "ok" (really peed me off, but meh), hoping mine's not going to go down, that feedback helps me get people from ebay.com to agree to ship the me in the UK

To keep at 99.5% you need approx 45 positives a month in future for every month until that negative is over a year old. If you don't sell enough to keep your posiitves rolling in then yes your feedback will drop every month. That's why it's gone down Ant.
I've noticed some people have no negs at all, but have one or 2 neutrals and their feedback has dropped from 100%.
I didn't think a neut was able to drop your score, but it looks that way now.
Steve had 99.7% before the feedback change, but now he has gone upto 100% because of it just taking the last 12 months into consideration.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

If you feel you do need to go the buying route, check the seller's feedback > left for others. You'll be able to see if they are leaving any or not.
Or you could ask.
I got a 1st this week, someone asked me NOT to leave feedback.0 -
The problem is that if we leave well-deserved negative feedback for a Seller we get abusive feedback left for us as Buyers
Strange how Sellers become abusive when negative feedback has been left for them0 -
Well yes, but there aren't 11 things I want to buy at the moment, and I've got no intention of spending money on ebay just for the sake of my feedback rating, whatever they may think!!Am I missing something?
