I'd get yourself off to the hospital, just to be on the safe side. The show is also know as the 'plug' and its usually a thick jelly kind of goooooo. On the morning of my DDs birth my DH and I were bonking away for Britain and I thought I was bleeding to death  . Shot off to the hospital and everything was fine. I was only a couple of days early and she was fine. Good luck. If its your first baby, everything seems scary. Big Hug :p

I had the same the day before DD was born. I felt something come away when I was in the bath ( I was having contractions) and there it was in the water:o

Ha ha, pretty rank innit? :rotfl:

Anyway, RDB, I should have also mentioned that my DS was born at 35 weeks (35+1 to be exact) and other than being a little bit on the small side compaired to DD (5lb12oz) he was fine. I did have some steroids for his lungs when I first went into hospital after my waters broke but I think that's fairly standard.

    Jxx
And it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end

Sounds like a show. I had a show on 2 occasions before DS arrived the first one was 3 weeks and 1 days before he arrived and when he did arrive it was after 3 sweeps.
Definately check it out with your Midwife, but unless your having contractions or your waters have gone, i wouldn't worry about it too much.
The show just means your cervix is getting ready to start thinning and dilating.
    Good luck.

if you can't see the head, you've got nothing to worry about yet.

    :T very well put!

I had my first 'show' at about 37 weeks and didn't give birth until 42.
