I hate this new feedback system

Just got my first Neutral it might aswell by a neg as it hurts my feedback now from 100% to 98.8%.

Sold an item sent it the next day buyer contacted me about 5 days later it still had no arrived. So traced it on royal mail site could not find it. Asked could he wait another 3 days to see if it arrives and then we go from there. He emailed me on Wed still not arrived. I said i will contact royal mail once more and get back to you within 24 hours. I emailed him back the next day saying they cannot find it and will send out a replacement asap which i did yesterday. The new one arrived today and the buyer has now left Neutral feedback saying great item but took 12 days to arrive.

Do these people read their emails. It took one day to arrive the other was lost!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I would not mind a Neutral weeks ago as it did not effect it but now what is the point of it

I know i cannot even leave a comment now, unless i cannot find it. Have emailed the buyer asking why he left it as i did everything i could. And you can see it's a replacement as the date on the stamp will show that.

I can relate to how you feel-If i was the customer I would be grateful for the contact and for the replacement and it would have been a glowing feedback with a positive off course but some buyers either do not understand, care or just like to take advantage of the new feedback system.
This is what happened to me a few days days ago-sold a brand new with tags bag, posted it during my lunch hour recorded delivery on monday even though I always explain in my description that my posting day is thursday(my day off) (because the ebayer with 4 feedback and twice changed i.d in 2 weeks kept asking as it was a gift for her sis), this ebayer even emailed twice to request postage on sunday and kept pestering me for feedback.Once I knew she had the item I left positive feedback with a nice comment, in return I got a petty neg with claims that the bag was full of food crumbs! The bag was in perfect pristine condition.Despite the neg I emailed her politely to ask why she had done so and this person responded with abusive emails twice.I left follow up feedback and again recieved a nasty retaliatory remark accusing me of deciet and abuse!

Who knows  I have a poor compliance due to listing a toy cap gun, which they removed under the Firearms rules. Phoned them this morning to check when this poor rating will be removed, and they didn't know. It used to be 30 days, but now they don't know if or when it will be changed

I hate it too - i haven't sold anything for a couple of weeks and my feedback has dropped from 99 - 98% because of a neutral some nutter left months ago... so it's affected feedback already there to.

Very annoying - the majority of ebayers understand the feedback system but some are just downright stupid and don't know what they are doing - i got a negative from an idiot that said that item i sold them was a child size which was a complete lie - she left it on mine istead of a childs size item she bought by accident and ebay of course won't remove it and she refused to via the feedback system..

I'm considering never selling anything on ebay ever again as it seems to be heading the benefit of the buyer not those that actually mean ebay exists..

    soooo annoyed with ebay

I'd give it time to settle down.

I predict that in a few months time, anyone with feedback over 90% will be seen as a reliable and trustworthy seller. Everyone's feedback is going to drop, I suspect, but the biggest drop will be inflicted on those who don't deliver a service. We'll begin to see more people with 60 - 70% feedback and worse.

Id agree that the days of expecting most sellers to have 100% have gone and expectations will change. However, what will take time to get used to is the feeling you get as a seller who has provided the very best service and yet can receive a totally unjust neutral or negative from some idiot which you can do nothing about.

I'm more worried about the fact that a smaller seller, ie anyone getting less than 20 feedback a month, can be suspended due to just one neutral.

Just to get 20 feedback a month you need to list double that and sell at least a third more to cover all those that don't leave feedback

I heard of someone yesterday who has been suspended by Ebay for 3 months. That is how he earns his living, so has had to get a job to survive until his ban is lifted :o
