Is it only me who thinks that some of the 'scam baiters' on these websites are actually more devious and unpleasant than the scammers?

    yeah!

The scambaiters are doing nothing more than causing scammers inconvenience, costing them a bit of money, wasting their time and making them look stupid.

The scammers are willing to ruin peoples lives.

The guy running the "419 Eater" scam baiting site (http://www.419eater.com/html/letters.htm ) has actually persuaded three of his "victims" to get themselves tattooed with the words "Baited by Shiver" on various parts of their body. This will be a permanent reminder of their attempts to con money out of people. Before you express any sympathy for these crooks, don't forget they are trying to steal vast amounts of money from unsuspecting victims. One at least is even using the Pakistan earthquake as an excuse for his money raising activities.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

    Yep...

I am also a member of 419eater, although due to lack of time I do not directly participate in baiting. The individuals that indulge in these fraudulent activities are among the world's low-level scum! ;)

Anything that slows them down and totally wastes their time is alright by me! :T
